Alison Tingle joined the Richard Wells Research Centre in 2006 as the Principal Research Programme Officer for the Healthcare Associated Research Network www.hcainetwork.org

She is responsible for the day to day management of the network which contributes to the strategic development of the national research agenda in this field. She also works part time for the Department of Health Policy Research Programme where she commissions and manages mental health research and manages the maternal healthcare policy research unit.

She qualified as a Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse in 1989 and has worked in both general and mental health settings. She has a first degree in nursing and a Masters in Mental Health. Previous appointments have included working as a researcher at the Nursing Research Unit at Kings College University working on Department of Health funded studies of nurses careers and working as a healthcare researcher for a market research agency.
