Peter Harper

Peter Harper is a senior lecturer in the Richard Wells Research Centre in the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences. He gained his Diploma in Nursing at the University of London, BSc Hons in Nursing at Anglia Higher Education College, and his PhD at the Centre for Applied Research in Education at the University of East Anglia. Peter has extensive previous experience in the post-registration education of nurses including research awareness, study skills, operating department nursing, and the management of people with leg ulceration. Peter's current teaching activity is predominantly focused on the use of evidence-based practice and research methodology by post graduate health care professionals. His main academic focus is on the generation, utilisation and evaluation of professional knowledge. Peter's primary responsibility is to provide research expertise for a variety of projects undertaken by the Richard Wells Research Centre and, in particular, has participated in all the projects collectively described as the epic initiative. Peter has keen interest in the use of the Internet as a tool to support professional practice and currently manages the Richard Wells Research Centre website, the epic initiative website |
