Centre
for Evidence Based Nursing and Midwifery
Supporting the
enhancement of clinical practice in NHS Trusts across North-West London
and Berkshire, Thames Valley University's Centre for Evidence-Based
Nursing and Midwifery works with nurses and midwives from the acute and
primary healthcare sectors to develop, implement and evaluate evidence to
promote, support and sustain best practice. A collaborating centre of the
Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), the role of the Centre is also to enable
local clinicians to develop their skills and expertise in evidence
appraisal, transfer and utilisation. The Centre has a particular focus on
priority areas related to infection prevention and control, management of
HIV/AIDS, wound care, management of lymphoedema, midwifery and women's
health and infant feeding. To find out more about the centre and JBI,
